MEET THE ARTIST
Siobhan Arnott holds a Fine Arts Diploma from the Ottawa School of Art, a MES in Resource Management from the University of Waterloo, and 25 years experience as a consultant specializing in environmental and Indigenous relations. Each summer, she spends a month studying Figure Drawing at the Florence Academy of Art in Florence.
Passionate about printmaking, Siobhan’s linocut prints and intaglio etchings, explore the healing power of nature and the resilience of the human spirit with just a touch of whimsy. Her work is inspired by her European travels and outdoor adventures within Canada’s wilderness. They are a product of her sketches, photographs, research, and life experiences cumulating into images set in the natural environment in which an individual, or individuals find, or provide, inspiration and that moment of bravery propelling them forward.
Siobhan is the recipient of the Joan Gullen Award for social justice (arts and wellness) and the Leonard Gerbrandt Printmaking Scholarship. Currently, she is represented by the Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) Annexe.
While she grew up between Canada and Scotland, Siobhan now resides and works full-time as an artist in Ottawa, with a studio space in her home. Please use the Contact Page to send her a message with questions or to request a commission.
